What we do
Laurel Hedges – Requires formative pruning in the summer, normally done in July and August.
Beech Hedges – Generally require formative pruning in early and late summer. Mature beech hedges are normally cut back in winter.
Privet Hedges – Young hedges require a regular trimm back through spring and summer.
Boxwood – Normally needs formative pruning at least twice a year. Can be done in June, August and September.
Cypress Hedges – Leylandii requires trimming up to three times a year depending on the weather. If it’s cut into the bare wood the leaves might not regrow.
Evergreen Hedges – Best trimmed in late autumn or early winter, depending on the specific species.
Mixed Hedgerows – Individual hedges must be trimmed in accordance with their specific requirements.
